Blessing Beads

It is recommended that when you give or receive Blessing jewelry,  the first time it's worn someone fastens the jewelry onto the recipient and the inscription is read aloud. Some people wear their Blessing Bead jewelry 24/7 with the intention of having the bead unroll and the message revealed. They believe the Blessing will be fulfilled when it is revealed. Remember, Blessing Beads are paper scroll beads that are NOT waterproof. So when the Blessing Bead is exposed to water, especially when it is submerged, water will get inside the Blessing Bead, starting the unraveling process. The first thing that usually happens is that the adhesive that attaches the metal end cap to the paper bead will break down and the metal bead will come off. Once that happens, water will find it's way into the bead faster, and over time, the glue that holds the bead closed will also break down, eventually allowing the bead to unravel.
